Leanne Hollick
Licensed Paralegal
License Number: P11741
Leanne Hollick is a Licensed Paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario and a core member of the team at Traffic Paralegal Services since 2018. Her work reflects a rare combination of prosecution-side experience and defence-focused advocacy, giving her a clear and practical understanding of how Provincial Offences matters are built and challenged in Ontario courts.
Leanne graduated from Sheridan College with High Honours, where she developed a strong grounding in legal procedure and advocacy. She completed her placement with the Crown Attorney’s Office, gaining early exposure to file review, disclosure handling, and courtroom process. She later advanced into a more substantive role, serving as a prosecutor for Part III matters under contract with the Attorney General’s office.
Dual Perspective: Prosecution and Defence
Leanne’s background is not limited to theory—it is operational. Having worked on the prosecution side, she understands how cases are screened, how decisions are made regarding resolution, and what prosecutors look for when assessing whether a matter should proceed to trial. That perspective carries directly into her current role.
On the defence side, she applies that insight in a focused way:
- Reviewing disclosure for gaps, inconsistencies, or missing elements
- Identifying weaknesses in the Crown’s theory of the case
- Assessing early whether a matter is suitable for resolution or requires trial
- Preparing files with attention to timing, evidence, and procedural requirements
This dual exposure allows her to anticipate issues before they develop in court.
Court Process and File Management
Clients often arrive with uncertainty about the process—how disclosure is obtained, what happens at early resolution, and whether trial is necessary. Leanne addresses these questions with clarity. She is known for maintaining well-organized files, ensuring deadlines are tracked, and keeping matters moving forward without unnecessary delay.
Her role frequently involves:
- Coordinating disclosure requests and follow-ups
- Preparing materials for court appearances
- Assisting with sworn documents as a Commissioner of Oaths
- Supporting trial preparation with structured, detail-oriented review
In many cases, the difference between a smooth process and a difficult one comes down to file handling. Leanne approaches that responsibility carefully.
Professional Approach
Leanne’s work is defined by consistency. She does not rely on assumptions or shortcuts. Each file is reviewed on its own facts, with attention given to what is actually provable—not just what is alleged. Where resolution is appropriate, she supports that path. Where the evidence is insufficient, she is prepared to see the matter move forward to trial.
Her background in both prosecution and defence informs that judgment. It allows her to approach each case with a balanced, informed perspective—one that clients benefit from at every stage of the process.
